The Strike Committee have applied £1000 of the balance in hand towards defraying the expenses of the current strikes. The dock companies are charging lighters entering the docks Is 6d per ton. Hitherto they were permitted to enter free, and master lightermen declare that the imposition of this charge will ruin them. (Special to Pbess Association.) London, November 11. (Hocoived November 12, at noon.) Lord Brassey considers that tho masters are pledged to make one job a night's work so far as the lightermen are concerned.
