Report for week ending Friday, July 26:— The past has been a broken week, and but little business has been transacted in grain. The three steamers for Sydney during the next day or two haß made it busy in potatoes, for which extreme prices have been paid. Wheat, however, is as dull as ever. and oats Bhow no improvement. The English wheat market is reported firm, but Sydney appears still suffering with the glut, and the large stocks going forwai d from New Zealand ports it is likely to remain inanimate for some time yet. Numerous inquiries are made for space to London, but it is now difflou t to obtain, and rateß are firming. Barley is without improvement. Our quotations are as follows'Wheat: Prime Tuscan, 3s 6d to 3s 7d ;pearl, 3s4d to3»sd; Hunters, 33 2d to 3s 8d: broken. *W to 2s 9d.
