THANKS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Kindly allow me to thank "Civis" for embalming my name in his brilliant, evergreen Passing Notes in to-day's issue. At the same time I should like to say he reminds me in oue respect of the great Sir Joseph Porter—"bemoans well, but be don't know "; that among my last audience in the Industrial School were numerous adult visitors, including several from Christchurch, and that the delivery of the lecture did not occupy any great length of time. _ However, wo can " agree to differ " without appealing to the Supreme Court to decide tho important question at issue.—l am, &c, W. A. W. Watkek. Dunedin, November 13.
