SHOOTING COMPETITIONS.
A friendly shooting match took place on the new range of the Dunedin Rifle Club at Mornington on Saturday last between a team of eight men from the Wakari Rifle Corps and a scratch club team. The E Battery of Artillery (Christchurch), firing against the other batteries in the Colony for the championship of the regiment, made 595 points. The weather was unfavourable for shooting. L Battery (Port Chalmers) made 752, and B Battery (Dunedin) 080.
