Wangandi, April 10, Braithwaite, of Wanganui, refusos to accept tho challenge from Hearn offering him half a minute in throo miles. Ho says that the original offer made was to row J;hree miles, giving him half a mile or two minutes' start.
DUNEDIN v. INVERCARGILL. The annual four-oared boat race between crews representing the Otago and Invercargill Rowing Clubs was rowed at Invercargill yesterday morning. After a splendid race Otago won by two lengths. The crews were constituted as follows:—lnvercargill: Greig (stroko), Clare (No. 3), Walker (No. 2), Cox (bow). Otago :H. Diok (stroke), W. Olaxton (No. 3.', H. Park (No. 2), E. Trythall (bow), . i\ Spoouer (cox).
