OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
The adjourned annual meeting of the above Association, which was held in the Garrison Hall on Wednesday evening, wbb attended by about 16 members. Lieut.-colonel Siavely occupied the chair.
j ELECTION OP OFPIOEKS. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year;— President, Lieutenant colonel btayely; vice-presidents, Majors Wales and Jack, and the Mayor, for the .time being: treasurer, Volunteer E. E. Smith; necretary, Volunteer M. C. Creagh; auditors, Corporal Hutchmson and Mr Capatick. , A vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring secretary, Volunteer Dalziel. It was resolved that the Council of the Association should consist of one commissioned officer, two members from each company, and three members from the Dunedin Rifle Olub Association.
The Tkeasueeb ("Volunteer Smith) read a BtatemeDt showing that the Ladies' Shield Committee had a credit balance of £9 15s 5d in hand ; and also the balance-sheet, showing a credit balance in favour of the Association of about £83, . ■
Mr Richardson suggested that the prizes in connection with the Association should in future be allocated previous to the matches being fired. . :■ • The meeting then terminated with a vote o! thanks to the chairman. ;
