PAYMENT OF MEMBERS.
TO THE EDITOR, ■ Sir,—l write to suggest to the new members of our Parliament that one of the first things to be done in the session now approaching should be to pass an Act making the contract with members to be by tbe year, and not by the session, as we cannot afford to run the risk of having to pay members twice in the year again. Many more of the old members would have been returned if the country generally had not been disgusted with their selfish and grasping conduct with regard to the honorarium.—l am, &c, _ Ok-oe Bitten, Twice SHr. July 20.
