(Rocolved July 25, at 9.62 p.m.) The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports the sale of a cargo of kauri timber at the following average prices, at per 100 ft super.:—Sawn flitches, 15a 3d } sawn boards, lin, 14s 3d to 203 (sic); do, ljin to 3in, 14s 6d; dressed boards, Jin, 16s; do, Jin, lCs 6d. At per 100 ft lineal: T. and g! flooring, 4 x IJ, 7s 6d.' Market dull. Sydney, July 25. Hobaiit, July 25. (Received July 25, a!i 1.46 p.m.) Further details are to hand regarding the Bank robbery at Beaconsfield. The actingmanager (not the manager), Mr Stockhouse, was tied to a tree with his head enveloped in a pillow-case. Two men entered the Bank while two others, who were armed, guarded Mr Stockhouse for two hours. He was then released. His watch and money which he had on him were not taken. The cash ia the Bank at the time of the robbery was unusually large, owing to its being pay-day at the mines.
