Consols are unchanged at !)!% and New Zealand securities at tho following quotations ;—Five per cent. 10-40 loan, 107 ; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 105J; 4J per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 103. Adelaide wheat is quiet at 525, ex store ; and New Zealand ditto at 50s. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, has declined to 375. Australian tallow—best beef, 44s Od ; best mutton, 45s Gd. The National Bank of New Zealand has declared a dividend of 3J per cent, for the last half-year. (Special to Argus.) London, July 20th. O'Brien, who was arrested and confessed to having taken part in the assassination of Lord -IT. Cavendish and Mr Burko, has asserted that two of the assassins receivod £20 for committing the foul deed. (Special to Age.) London, July 2Gth. An attempt has been made on the life of Seilor Sagaata, the Spanish Premier, by sending a dynamite infernal machine to him. Several arrests have been made in connection with tho affair. Earl Kimberley's appointment to the Duchy •f Lancaster is temporary, and he retains ofljee as Secretary for the Colonies.
