' The Fire Brigade Committee recommended that the Firo Brigade station should be made easily accessible. —The report was adopted. I'INAXCE COMMITTEE. The Finance Committee recommended that accounts amounting to £S1 0s lOd should, be passed for payment, and that all future expenditure should b* limited to maintenance- works. —Adopted. WILLIAM STREET. On the recommendation of the Inspector, it was decided tliat tbo crossing at the cud of William street and rglintou road should be lilted and r.-pitched. COIIRKSI'ONI'IiINCE. Mr Hugh .M'Neil wrote, directing attention to a nuisance which existed at the junction ot the E-'linton and Cavcrshani roads.—Koierred to the [Mayor. A memorial was received from several ratepayers residing iv Campbell street, West Dunedin, asking that the street should bo formed.—Declined A lettur was received from C. R. Bowmar, but it was decided not to consider it in any way. USTIIUsa COUNCILLORS. Cr ?A. Bathgate retired by lot, for Second Ward, and Crs Campbell and Watt's retired by ro.ation for First and Third Wards.
