THE NEW ZEALAND ANTHEM.

The following is the well-known New Zealand National Anthem, of Mr Bracken, in Maori drew*, aa translated by Mr Thos. H. ■-Smith, of Auckland, at the request of Sir George Grey. In explanation of the title, we may state that " Aotearoa" is the old and poetic name given to New Zealand by those who 'first saw it, whon coming from the distant isles of the Pacific, the cradle of the Maori «raoe, and means " The long white Cloud," or ""The Cloud at dawn."
