VOLUNTEER CADET FIRING.

The firing of the Cadets took pla.ee on Saturday, 27th inst., at the North Dunedin Range, and the scores are as follows: —

: All those competitors that did not make 15 points at 100 yards were debarred from competing at the .200. The firing was very fair, considering that many of the Cadets had not previously practised. There was such a number of them wantir.g to compete that many: of them are to fire to-day ; and those that did had not time to fire at 300 yards, as they did not leave off till seven o'clock. Among those that are going to fire to-day are the City Guards Oadeta. The competition was under the superintendence of Messrs Murray and Lindsay.
