INTERPROVINCIAL ITEMS. Wellington, January 26th. The new organ at St. Paul's, built by Mr G. R. West, of Dunedin,,was successfully opened last night, Mr Towsey officiating. Alexandra, January 26th. Te Wheoro met Tawhiao and Manuhiri yesterday. KopuaTe Ngatu acted under the orders of Tawhiao in Stopping the Poringia ! Survey, and in warning the Taupo road party. Dr Pollen, is expected here oa Tuesday next to meet and confer with Manuhiri.

The case of M'Arthur, Shera, and Co., occupied the Supreme Court. The plaintiff, Shera, is not of the partnership, and claims £12,000. The other side allege that when affairs are wound up, Shera will be brought in debtor to the firm. Macarthur, of London, is a creditor to the extent of £100,000. There are no other creditors of importance. The Court appointed a person to value the estate and adjust the partnership concerns. Richard Badham was fined £25 for a breach of'the Customs regulations, by making a false declaration. The intention of fraud' was not alleged, but an invoice in which a declaration was made, proved incomplete. - The Harbour Board have determined on an enlargement of the Dock. Southern flour is quoted at £15; Adelaide, £17. Pollard, £6 10s. Oatmeal, £13. Potatoes, £4. Maize, 4s 6d. Oats, 2s 9d. Hams and bacon (Southern), lOd. Christchurch, January 26th. At the Wesleyan Conference to-day, permission was given to alter several circuits in Canterbury,- and the following in othei parts of the Colony : —Manukau to be divided ; Waiuku, Pukekoe, and neighbourhood to form a new circuit; Wangaroa to be attached to Hokianga Circuit; Rangitikei Circuit received permission to divide —Maniolii River to be boundary of the circuit, aud the new circuit to be called Maunaki Circuit. It was agreed to discontinue Maori work in Wellington. The Milton Circuit, at present without a minister, is to be annexed to Balclutha Circuit. It was agreed to send an additional minister, should -one be available, to Kumara. It was determined, if possible, to send agents to Wangarei (in the Auckland district).' The_number of members returned from the various districts were:— Auckland, 635; Taranaki and Wanganui, 371; Wellington, 350; Nelson, 342; Canterbury, 1004; Ofcago, 299 ; Scandinavian members, 33; Maori members, 379; total, 3413. The returns showed an increase in every district except Otago, where a decrease of 70 is reported, reducing the general increase to three.

The land sales yesterday amounted to £10,200.

One thousand young salmon, purchased by the Greymouth Acclimatisation Society, will be despatched on Monday next. It is understood that the Selwyn County Council will decide against bringing the permissive clauses of Counties Act into force.

A considerable quantity of old oats is in course of shipnient to Melbourne. : ;

The grain and produce markets continue quiet, as farmers are taking advantage of the tine weather to. secure, the crops. Some parcels of new wheat have been sold at ;4s. oats, 2s Id for. old, and Is lOd to 2s for new; bailey, 3s; flour, £14; grass saed, 4s. Trade quiet. ;
