Fat Cattle.—The number forward this week was unusually large, 250 being yarded, consisting mainly of fair to good quality. We sold, on account of the N. Z. and A. L. Co., Messrs James »Vrigbt, Wm. Patrick, Gray and Bremner, and others, 143 head at from £9 to £12 for bullocks, and £7 15s to £11 for eowa—prices equal to 32s 0d per 1001b. for good quality, and 27s tid for medium do. We also sold privately 86 head at equal to 32s 6d per 1001b. l"nt Calves.—There was a short supply. The few yarded brought from 40s to SSs each. Fat Sheep.—3ooo were penned of all sorts. We sold, on account of the N. Z and A. U Company, 533 crossbred wethers, at 14s 6d ; account of Mr James M'Leish, 470 eruss-breds, at 12s 3d; account of Messrs Bejig Bros , 3S(icross-bred ewes, at 9s (Sd ; account of Messrs M'Larcn and Bruce, 250 merino.", poor quality, at 4s Cd to 6s 3d ; nccouni of Messrs W. and K. Couutry Salts.—We held our monthly sale at Palmcrston on Thnraky, 4th instant. There was a uootf attendance of buyers, but only a limited amount of stock came forward. Draught colis br light from £22 to jCiW; light lucks, £& to £13; d .fry cows £7 10s to Vi.

Mr Glasson's shipment of heavy draughts, ex Omco, from Melbourne, at from £32 t > £47. We quote firstclass draughts, £50 to £G0 ; medium do, £40 to £45; light do, £25 to £35 ; good hacks and light harness horses, £25 to £i 0 ; medium do, £15 to £2J; light and inferior, £7 to £10. Wool —Since our last no further advices have been received, communication by cable still remaining interrupted. Sheepskins.—At onr weekly sale we had only a small catalogue of skins, which Bold at prices fill y equal to last week's rates.

Hides The demand continues good. Wo disposed .-it our wtekly sale of 78 medium weights, at from 17s to 20s Cd each, equal to from 4d to i\d per lb. f Grim.- Wheat is in good request—prime saleable at 4s 6d to 4a 7d, and extra quality at 4s B<l to 4s 9d per bushel. Oats are not in quite so good demand this week, shippers having pretty well supplied themselves ; but there 19 still a fair local demand. We quote feed at Is 9d to Is lOd per bushel, and milling samples at Is lid to 23. Barley, dull of sale ; prices nominal.
