Mr Frederick H. Evans reports having sold yesterday National Insurance Shares at 27s 6d, cum dio.

Mr Hkxry Driver (on behalf of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.), reports as follows for the week ending 2Sth April:—

Fat Cattle.—A moderate supply of 170 head were yarded to-day, nnd, with the exception of 20 head, found buyers at fully our late quotations, say—Best bullocks, £9 to £11 10s ; do cows, £7 to £9 ; or equal to 27s o'd per lOOlbs for prime quality. During the week I have sold, privately and at auction, 120 head. Fat Culves.—4o head came forward, and being a large supply prices somewhat declined. I quote best vealers at from 30 to 55s each.

Fat Sheep.—The market was crowded with 2700 sheep, of all descriptions, which has now been the case for several weeks past; consequently, the trade requirements were very limited, as, in addition to supplies on hand, others had been received fiom private sources. I quote best cross-breds at 14s to 16s 6d, and merinoes 7s Ud to 10a, or equal to 3}d per 1b for the former, and 2.Jd for latter. At the Yards, I disposed of 1000, at full rates.

Fat Lambs. -About 100 came forward, and were all sold at full rates, say from 9s to 11s 6d.

Store Cattle.—Grown cattle continue in good demand at our former quotations, say, up to £7 10s for really good conditioned bullocks, and up to £5 5s for cows. During the week I have sold 300 head at 50s to £4 10s each.

i Store Sheep.—Transactions have not been large during the week, very few desirable sheep offering. We have buyers at'the following 'rates :—Cross-breds, 4-tooth and upwards, 12s 6d to 13s 6d ; 2-tooth, 10s to 11s ; do lambs, 7s 6d ; merino ewes, 2 to 6-tooth. 9^ to 10s ; do full-mouthed, 3s 6J to 5s : do wethers, 2 to 6tooth, 7s 6d to 8s 6d ; do full-mouthed, ns to 6s. I have placed 3000 during the week at quotations. ': Wool.—Only a very few indifferent lots have been offered in this market during the week, which the trade took at, for greasy me. iuo, BJU to Is ; do «r.>ssbred at from !)}d to 12Jd. At thesa prices, I have cleared a number of odd lots.

Shfiepskiu3.—l. have no alteration to note in late values, Jocal fclhnongers continuing to buy fretsly at up to 8W for well coiidi ioned 'station skins, and to 2s to 3s 6d for green skins.

Hides —I s. ild a large number during the week, at from 15s to 22s 6d, according to weight and condition. ' Tallow. At my sale to-day I sold a number of lots at frem 27s to 30s for best quality, and "20s to 25s for inferior.

i Grain.—The market remains very inactive, and I have jjo alterations to note in late quotations. Oats are saleable at from 2s 8d to 2s lOd; for prime milling samples a shade higher. Barley, good malting, is wanted at as Od to (is. Wheat is very dull of sale at 4s 3d to 4s Ud.
