The Governor, tho Defence Minister, and some of the members of Assembly, go South in tho Luna this evening. Tho complaint of tho hospital patient reported to have been seized with smallpox, lias proved not to bo that disease. Some very rich finds have taken place iv the Bismarck claim. The yield of the Caledonian claim xor the week is 4340z.
The Nonpareil, Waitemata, Moanatniari, ami Poverty Bay claims are getting out some rich stone.
Chkistciiubcw, June 29th. Dr Pearson, of Aluiroa, was found dead and Htark naked in the bush. The new Lectionary is to be introduced into the Anglican Churches in the city on the first Sunday in July. The Nevada's mails were fumigated. Invium;ar<.ui.i., June 29th. Ingpen was sentenced to two years' imprisonment with hard labour, on one charge, and the other two were abandoned. The Judge made some severe reTnarks in passing sentence upon him. The criminal sessions arc now closed.
