son, J.P's.)
Threatening Language.—Alfred Joshua Renouf AA'as charged by Thomas Paterson, master of the brig Pakeha, with this offence, which was calculated to provoke a breach of the peace. Mr Mansford appeared for Captain Paterson. The charge being proved, Renouf was bound over to keep the peace towards Captain Paterson and all Her Majesty's subjects, for the space of six months, in sureties for himself of £10, and two others for £5 each, wliich were at once entered into, as Renouf Avas about to proceed as mate in the barque Seagull,' for China. Professional and other costs, amounting' to £1 17s 6d, were granted.
