TRADESMEN'S RACES.
Sir—Your reporter of tho Races on Saturday Hcemn to think ihit, because the second winning-post and ila^ opposite the Judge's box was not at previous Beach Races, that consequently, it should never be there. Two wrongs do not make a right. It was placed there by order of the Judge and Stewards, and in strict accordance with racing lnage. Again, in tho face of a receding lido, tho horses might havo ran at such a distance from the Judge, if the second p;>ut was not there, as to prevent him judgirg correctly in a closely contested race.—l am, &c., SvnNKV Jamks, Secretary.
