Dunkdix Invoiajntabies.—Field Marshall Punch begs to congratulate those citizens and citizenesses (of all grades) who remained in doora on the tremendous oc cation of the first Moonlight Attack and Defence of Dunedin, upon the proficiency displayed in Three Great Attributes of good citizenship,—quiet endurance of the "horrible disturbance, patience during the untimely and prolonged uproar, and coolness in remaining in bed under such a powerful discharge—of blank cartridges.
Colloquial Philosophy. — Enter Donald in custody of a Policeman.— Sandy (log) Eh ! Donald mon 1 whats ajee wi' ye the noo ? Donald (log) Hech sirs ! I just lifted a coo i' the morn. Sandy (J07.) Aweel! Donald, ye're muckle to blame for that.—Why didna ye buy the coo, and no pay for ta beastie ?
Thaveli.br :—"Well, friend, you think there is not much chance for a Gold Broker up here ? " Old Broker :—" The fact is, I gave up that line myself, and turned to Stone Broker."
