We have Brisbane papers to the 22nd. The submarine telegraph to Moreton Island has at last been iaid down successfully, 'lbree aud a-ha'f miles of the cable, between Amity Point? aud Moreton Island, were laid down on Saturday in about one hour and a halt, ami is was made complete from the shore to the pilotstation the same day. 'The Council of the Acclimatisation Society have decided on engaging the services of some qualified person to look after and take care ot their park and its contents; and, as they have determined to be liberal in their payment, they vary properly expect to obtain the services of a. good man, _^__________—.
