The s.sl Edina, Captain Rolls, from Launceston, arrived in Port Chalmers early this morning. She left Tamar Heads at 8 a.m.'on the morning of the 14th inst., passed Swan Island at 3 p.m. on the same day, and sighted West Caps at 2 p.m. on the 18th inst., thus accomplishing the run fro n land to land in four days. She experienced moderate N.E. -winds throughout the passage. Brings aiulcargo of grain, general merchandise, and 20 head of .cattle, aud a numbsr of cabin passengers From Captain Rolls we have files of Launceston papers to the 13th inst. Tha barque Isabella, chartered for the conveyance of troops to Auckland, was then at Hobart Town preparing for departure, aud from . Launceston the steamer V7akool was expected to sail for Dunedin. 'I'he s.s. Aihanibra arrived in port in company with the Eiina. She brings 148 passengers, 35 of the number in the saloon, and the majority of them ladies and families. Sailed from Melbourne the 14th, and had a fine passage, with S.E. winds for the first two days. As usual, landed portion of the mails at Buff Harbor. Proceeds to Lyttelton on Saturday. Among other passengers she had on board Mr Blackwood, of the firm of Messrs MTvleckan and Blackwoori, owners of the vessel. The: barque W. C.
