The South Canterbury boxing championships, held last night, for the selection of the team for the New Zealand championships, were largely attended, and a good three hours' sport was provided. The results were: — Bantam —Stoddart .(Ashburton) beat G. Terras (Ashburton). Featherweight ■ — Shanks (Timaru) beat Gibson (Ashburton). Lightweight—J. Dwyer (Hinds) beat McAleer (North Canterbury). Welterweight—O'Connor (Seadown) boat Stewart (Timaru). Heavyweight—McCleary (Ashburton ) beat McKenna (Seadown). Flyweight—Barry (Timaru) beat Wyberg (Timaru).
