The State Cabinet has proclaimed .Fune 16th and 17th public holidays. It has been agreed to grant the tramwaymen dc-üble pav on those days. The Jockey Club is holding a winter meeting on the 16th and 19th._ The Rugby League has decided' to play the English match on Saturday next, and has altered the other English iixures. The team plays at- Orange on flie 9th, Svdnev against New South Wales on the* 12th and 16th, Brisbane against Australia on the 23rd. The other two test matches will be played in July, on a date not yet fixed.
