The following report will be read at the meeting of fiouseholders tin's even, ing:— In submitting their annual report and balance-sheet, your Committee beg to state that thev came into office with a credit balance of 4*14 13s lid. Their leceipts amounted to £4? 19s lid, and expenditure to £sl 8s 3d, leaving a. balance of £ll as 7d to carry forward to next yea/: The annual picnic was again held at Caroline Bay, Timaru, and was enjoyed by all present. The Rev. Mr Hunt presided at the distribution of prizes, and to him the Committee tender their thanks, also to the parents and friends who subscribed mi liberally to the prize and picnic fund. Thanks are -nlso due to the ladies who kindly judged the" sewing. The Inspector's report was again excellent, and your Committee heartily coiigratulatc Mr Forrester and Miss Marwick on the magnificent result of th\» year's work.

During the year your Committee have attended to -all the necessary work in connection with the school, :iii<l beg to report everything in good order.

A work worthy of special note which. 'has been carried out during your Com- ! iniuco's term of office has been the putting of a complete water and sewer, system in the school. This, from a .-aniiary point, is a boon- to the school, and district, and your Committee are deeply indebte'd to the Christchurch Meat Co. for allowing them free of cost to connect with their high-pres-sure water and drainage system. On relinquishing office, your Com. mittee sincerely thank -the teachers and many others who have assisted them in_ their duties daring the year, and desire to record their appreciation of the cordial relations that have existed with all in connection with tho school work.
