At the inquest at Yarmouth a constable in evidence stated that he saw the aircraft about 150 ft awav. He was sure it was an. aeroplane. It appeared to follow the direction of the street lights. He took it for a British machine until' it dropped a bomb. Amsterdam, January 21. •An official: front Berlin announces that Von. An official from Vienna states that a soldier from the northern front is suffering from Asiatic cholera. Received January 22, at 1.15 p.m. •Rome, January 21. • The newspaper Stampa states that a British cruiser removed Count von Keller,_,a German officer of hi<ih rank, from a liner due at Adasta, and conveyed him to Gibraltar. Count Keller had been on a secert mission to tho United States. Received January 22, at 1.15 p.m. Petrograd, January 21. A communique states that the Russians are taking the offensive, and the enemy has evacuated Skempe. The enemy's attack at Kirlibaba ' (in the Carpathians of Bukovina) was repulsed and 150 prisoners were taken. (Pee Press Association.) Auckland, January 2.2. The troopship Athenic arrived this morning. She left Alexandria on December 17 and came direct. She brings 58 non-commissioned officers and men from all parts of the force. A portion are invalids, some, are defaulters and some refused to be inoculated against typhoid.
