To meet this, the time-tables are being revised and the service reduced, so that" one million train miles' will be saved annually. Many temporary hands have, been put off, and probably the whole of the remainder will p;o. The office branch has contributed 237 men to the expeditionary forces, and other branches have contributed considerable numbers. Their places will not be filled.
