Interviewed, she said militancy was not ruining the cause. It was iio use converting the people by other moans. The whole Cabinet favors votes for women with the exception of Messrs Asquith and Harcourt, and their opposition was based simply on party, reasons and the fear that- women will constitute an nnreckoned force at tlie elections. "There is nothing for us to do"," said Miss Pankhiust, "but continue tlie present means until tliev get tired.of seeing law and order upset and give us the vote."' In evidence at Sunday afternoon » service at Westminster Abbey was Mrs Dacre Fox, stylishly-dressed, and supported by another * suffragette. She walked up the -main aisle, and commenced denouncing the torture of women. -The great congregation sat silent, but. a detective hurried up the aisle, nlaccd a. handkerchief over Mrs Dacre "Fox's mouth, and removed her unresisting. Both the women were arrested: and taken to Ilolloway Prison.
