SOLIDIFYING LABOR.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 7. A conference of the unions convened by the Federation of Labor and linking up with tho recently-formed Federation of-Labor in Australia, met this morning, 74 delegates being present. The Hon. J. Rigg (Wellington) was appointed chairman, Mr D. J. Sullivan deputy-chairman, and Mr P. H. Hickey secretary.
The Press was excluded, and a. Press Committee was set up t-o supply reports. Only formal business was transacted' this, morning. A resolution was passed allowing Labor M.P.'s to take part in tho deliberations of the conference.
