NORTH OTAGO MOTOR ASSOCIATION.

Tho annual general meeting ■of the, North Otago I\lotor Association was held last evening in Mr Bartram's rooms, there being only a limited , attendance or members. Mr C. Nichols, in tho absencoof tho president, took the cliair. Tho report stilted that the opening run last year was largely attended, and was ■vervMnuili 16 cars taking pari. The Committee, by a resolution, agreed not to call up tho annual sub- ' scrip lion for tho last year, as it was not deemed-necessary to do so. Tho bal-ance-sheet showed tliat the Association was in a; very healthy financial conthe credit balance ■at the bank lieing £l7 3s lOd. The resignation of Mr Davys as secretary was accepted with regret, and Mr K. Familton was elected to. -tho. position. It was stated that thero wero a large number of new cars imported into the district, tho estimate beiug near 125. Though all did not belong, to the Association, an effort was - being made to induce the mast of them to become members. Tho report and balance-sheet wero adopted. . . Mr Mair suggested that a nominal subscription of 5s per year bo tho annual subscription, as it was necessary that the Association should liave a small balance .o meet any emergency which may arise at any time.' Tho suggestion was considered a good one, and. a motion to that effect was carried. v Tho election of office-bearers resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. Buckley (re-elected); vice-presiderts, • Drs Douglas and Whitton; committee — Messrs Creagh, Mair, • Gilchrist, Jenkins, and Davys; treasurer, Mr A. A. Mair; auditor, Mr A. J. Grave.
