MAORI PERJURY.
(Per Peess Association.) Auckland, June 1. In the charge of perjury against Wirena Pake at the Auckland Supreme Court a verdict of guilty was returned, and the prisoner was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. A young man named John Clark pleaded not guilty to charges of indecency. The evidence failed to determine the question _of identity, and the jury, without leaving the box, returned a verdict of not guilty.
