WAIMATE HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the above was held yesterday afternoon. Present: Messrs F." J. White (Chairmanl, E. J. Atwill, E. D. Sanders, W. Miller. N. Francis, T. L. Hart, A. Walk.-r, E. Richards, and ,T. Kitchener The surgeon's report showed fi patients in the hospital at d-alc of last- report There were admitted during the port. Nash for painting and paperhanging. The. Borough Returning Officer notified the election of Messrs Sanders and Miller to the Committee. —Received. The Town Clerk forwarded copy of a letter received from the Ashburton Hospital Board Te morgue, and the District Health Officer wrote that he would visit Waimate on Friday next to inspect the present morgue. Arrangements were made to meet Dr Finch.

Accounts amounting to £l7l 5s Id were passed for payment. "- The Visiting Committee reported that the telephone, between the Hospital and the surgeon's residence was out of order, and probably required a new machine. —A, committee was appointed with power to act.. The question of admitting an honorary staff was further held over, pending receipt of si reply from Dr Valintine.
