TRAM COLLISION.

(Per Press Association.) Christchnrch, Mn'y 27. • A collision occurred, oil the Bit-car-ton tram line about Jl o'clock this morning. The water "waggon, driven by Motornian'Taylor, was on its way' into town, when an electric car outward* bound collided with it. The water wag-; gon had stopped preparatory to putting back to but the car,'.winch was driven by Motorman Joseph Graves, could not be brought to ii standstill in time owing to the greasy state of the rails. The impact was very severe, and the frOnt part of the electric car. was badly shattered. Motorman Graves, who'was badly 'shaken, and sustained :> wound on'his leg, was removed to' the hospital, where, at latest inquiries, lie was progressing very satisfactorily.
