The Football League lias eliminated the rule prohibiting players receiving remuneration, and payment of professionals is now openly conducted. A BENEFIT MATCH. (Per Pbess Association.) The football match, between the University and Alhambra yesterday yielded a gate of £ll2 net, which sum has been given by the Rugby Union as a donation to the fund in aid of the women's ward at the hospital.
