The Roy;il Colonial Institute's Empire Trade and I-ndustry Committee resolved, in view of the grave anxiety regarding the effects of reciprocity between Canada and the United States, that the Imperial Conference re-discuss the question of the uniformity oi' treaty obligations within ■ the Empire; also, that it consider the growing importance of a uniform company law, owing to the increasing tendency of British firms to establish oversea branches and the increasing popularity of Empire investments.
