BROACHING CARGO.
(Per Press Association.) Timaru, May (5. Two seamen of the s.s. Rakaia were charged with broaching cargo at Port Chalmers about April 20, anjl stealing four gallons of bottled -whisky and a case of bottled beer (ship's stores). They were convicted and each ordered to' forfeit- £4 10s, half cost of : the stolen liquor, and sentenced, to 14 days' imprisonment.
