OBITUARY.
AVo regret to chroniclo tlio death of Mr G. Mathias, manager of tho local branch of tho Union Bank, and formerly well known and generally liked in Waimate. Mr Mathias becamo seriously ill about a fortnight ago and since then tho stato of his health has caused his friends groat anxiety. Mr Mathias was a capablo officer of the bank, and a bright, cheery friend, e>o tluit his death will fill" many hearts with regret, and there will be many to sympathise) with Mrs Mathias in her borcayement.
