The Governor had a strange and pleasant 'experience in passing throngii Woodville tiffs afternoon, on his wav from Hastings to Featherston m his motor car. In front of the school two of the girls had a barrier of red, white and blue ribbon stretched across the stieet. and, oL couise the car was brought to a standstill. The Major then went up to the car, and said to his Excellency that the school children were anxious to have a look at him. The Governor, who seemed very pleased, at the mteiruption to his jomnej, leit the car, and the Chairman of the School Committee and the headmaster weie piesented to him. After the children had all been lined up his Excellency addressed them, and said how pleased he wa,s to meet them in such a strange manner. He made special reference to to-day being Trafalgar Day, and he hoped they all would eniiilate the creator of the day, and do their duty to their King and country. Cheers were then given for the Governor, who then left on his journey for Featherstoii.
