The Atlantic shipments are 140,000 quarters and the Pacific 80,000. The total for Europe is 1,850,000 quarters, including Argentine 69.000. To-day's quotations were as follows: — A Gartons Is- 8d on trucks at country -stations, A sparrowbills Is 7id, with 8., grade id less. * Ryegrass!—There is not much business to report'in this connection. Merchants'are busy cleaning for seed requirements, but there is nothing doing in export business. Clean Heavy seed from the mill is worth up to 2s 5d on trucks at country stations. , Chaff..—Prime quality for prompt delivery is in fair demand, but farmers are busv with other work, and there is very little offering. Prime is worth up to £3 5s on trucks at country stations. Potatoes. —There is not much movement in the potato market at present, but the tendency is for the market to harden. - During the -week there has - been, a fair enquiry from the North Island, and some little business has been ' done on a basis of £7 15s to £8- on, ' trucks country stations. The latter ', figure is being paid .freely for prime 'table tubers for local requirements.
