DANCERS IN HANDLING TIMBER.
(Pee Press Association.) Greymouth. Sept-ember 28. The Greymouth Wharf Laborers' Union are "seeking to have the timber railway trucks loaded at the mills, so that the danger now caused by stacks slipping during unloading will be minimised. They contend that unloading separately-marked consignments, while standing" perpendicularly on trucks, causes the remainder of the load to heel over, whereby numerous accidents occur. The West Coast Timber Association has been approached, and has circularised the millowners under their control on the matter. It also agrees that the .omplaint is a just one.
