A SUBSTANTIAL FINE. (Per Pkesb Association.) .Auckland, September 27. In the Hmitly Court to-day two Maoris and two Europeans were charged ••-itli playing two-iip. Saunders, the ■inglcader, who is a stranger to the dis'rict, and on whom was found, a doublebeaded penny, failed to appear, and was lined £lO, in default two months' 'imprisonment. The two Maoris were each fined £l. and costs, and the charge against the other European was dismissed.
