(Per Press Association.) Wellington, August 5. . The. public is making a -splendid' response to the appeal of Mrs-iTvlSl. Wilford, the Mayoress, for funds for. a. children's hospital. Nearly £'l2oo has been subscribed in three dayS, and the Mayor expects to get about £OOO tomorrow. 'The subscriptions include seven of £IOO each and four of £SO each.
