The annual meeting of members am] adlierents of Columba Clmrcli was held last even inn; in the church-room, when there was'a good attendance. -vine Rev. Wm. Wright presided, and after the open ins psalm and prayer read t.ie session report. ' Other reports which , hav'c-alreadv been published in the Mail, were read'as follows:- Sunday School report presented by Mr C.ttrell and . read bv Mr Bcswicfc, since Mr Cpttrell was -unavoidably absent through illness; Christian Endeavour Society: Voting , "Women's Bible Class; Junior Girls Bible Class; R.W.M.U.; tiie choir. The reports were adoptea on the motion cf Mr. Aldrod, seconded by .Mr Cron. . , r „ In seconding the motion Mr Cron made a report on the attendance, which was most regular and gratifying. Onone occasion there were more emldrcn than adults present. The Managers' report as published m the Mail was then read by Mr Aldrod and adopted. The balance-sheet presented by 'Mr Mac Gibbon was also adopted. . . , The mover (Mr \ crnor) and the seconder (Mr Cron) of the motion tor the adoption of the ' balance-sheet thought the Church was to bo congratulated on the satisfactory which the balance-sheet showed to nave been made. They had virtually made . an advance of £3/' during the year.. Mr Mac Gibbon diew attention to an ancidental omission from the annual report, no mention having been made ol the departure of one of their managers, • Mr T. Watson, and Mrs Watson, who was also an active church memocr. Mr Mac Gibbon also remarked on the amount which they contributed to me sustontation fund, and thought that it should be increased. Mr Cron spoke in regard to the sustentation fund, and as convener ot the 'Siistentation Committee .he suggestco steps- to be taken with regard to the increase of the contribution. On. the motion of Mr Macuibbon.. seconded by Mr f crgusson. it was resolved to record in the minutes the coup-relation's appreciation ot :dr and Mrs '!.'". Watson's work and character and its regret at their departure. Mv R. isrown moved that votes of thanks be accorded the following:— Superintendents and Sunday School, teachers, choir, choirmaster, sustentation fund collectors, Ladies Guild, treasurer, clerks of session and managers, auditors, leaders of Bible classes a"d Endeavour-societies, cradle roll superintendent, Mr Cron, the minister, and the Works Committee, ihe mover spoke of the great work which had been accomplished by all oiliccrs or the church, laying special stress on ine work done by the young people and those whose church endeavor lay among tiie young people. . Mr Vernor seconded the motion, referring to the good work of the trea- - surer, Mr Mac Gibbon. : Mr Cron, in speaking to the motion, said he wished to refer to the work performed by their Sunday School teachers. He felt sure that the work of the teachers at Columba Church, nidging bv results, would compare most 1 un-o'rauly'with that of any other Sunday School in the Dominion.
