"THE GIRL FROM RECTOR'S."

By Telegraph. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Wellington, July 27. There is said to be a flutter in the dovecote of Wellington at the promised production of "The Girl from Rector's, ' which bv the way passed the censorship of both Dimcdin and Christchurch. The posters, however, have come under the attention ot somebody in Wellington. Although' thev appeared for the first couple, of day's in all their suggestiveness the more objectionable portions have now been plastered out with smaller posters. Theatrical gossip is that the lessees of the poster boards undertook the process of censorship themselves, but this appears improbable. At all events members of the Ministers' Association interviewed the Minister of Justice to-day, but no information has leaked out as to the representations made or the reply, and the Minister declines to make a statement regarding it. It is understood that a public deputation which threatened to -wait on Dr Findlay will now wait for the verdict of some duly-appointed first-nighter who will spy out the land.
