Arrangements could probably be made with the contractor now working near. —Agreed to. "6 —Maintenance gravel is required for the portion of the Mslteno-Kaka-nui Road, between the Main South Road and the junction of the MnhenoAllday Bay Road.—The matter has been dealo'with. "7 —I would recommend that about 400 cubic yards extra gravel be talwn on the Wa'iareka Valley Road between 'the junction of the Pig Island Road and 'the Corricdnlo gravel pit, as the Quantity in contract- is cot sufficient to )>ut th-3 ror.d in order. The whole length verv weak. —Agreed to. "B—Attached is a letter from the District Railway Engineer in reply to an application from the Council for permission to lower the channel at a bridge near Peebles so as to give a frssr outlet for flood water. I think this should bs done. —Agreed to."
