(Per Press Association.) Wellington. July 27. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are: The barometer has risen considerably in the south and remained steady in the north. The weather has been cold and changeable, passing showers being experienced in many parts of the country. Moderate to strong south-westerly winds have prevailed. The present- indications are for a rising barometer everywhere shortly. Expect coo! and c-hantroa'de weather. fair prevailing, and the night frosty in parts. Moderate southerly winds are probable generally.
