(Pek Phess Association.) Invercargill, July 26. .At the annual meeting of the Winton Jockey Club the following motion wa.-s carried: "That in the interest of sport in the Awarua electorate this annual meeting, of the Winton Jockey Club. with 187 members, does not approve of the action of Sir Joseph Ward, as Premier of the Dominion, in introducing measures to abolish the totalis'ator, and that the secretary be instructed to forward of the resolution to the Premier."
