The Neuesto Naohriehten says the British Liberal press are agitating for an understanding because .the German high sea fleet in ]f)l4 will consist of Dreadnoughts and Dreadnought" cruisers. Krupps had since 1308 been study-' ing guns of a higher calibre than twelve inch, hence the British are blowing the disarmament horn. It adds: "The British 13-inch guns do not frighten us. We will probably meet them with 14-inch guns, lasting twice as long as the British arm."
