THEFT FROM A GONVENT.
(Per Press Association.) "Wellington, July 12. A burglary took place at Otaki Convent on Sunday, some £6O in a cash box being removed in daylight to a secluded spot. The box was burst open with an axe and all the money except £l7 in cheques taken. 'Die money belonged to Sister Paul, and was left in her nrivate room. It "is evident the thief knew his way about tlie premises.
