''(Per Press Association.) Diftiedin, July 11. A small block of wooden buildings a,t Stirling was destroyed by fire yesterday morning about eight o'clock. . The fire is supposed to have originated in Mr W. Knox's hairdressing saloon, where a fire was left burning in the grate the previous night. Mr Knox's saloon and billiard-roam, with two tables, together with the stock,, were completely destroyed, as was John Henderson's saddler's shop and stock, and an em|)t.v shop. Hair's dwelling place and empty shop were owned by Mr Simon Lewis, and the insurances were £SO on each in the United office. Henderson had his stock insured for a similar amount in the same office. Knox's insurance is not known, but it is stated to be only about one-third of the loss.
