MR DINNIE'S APPOINTMENT.

Replying to adverse comments on the appointment of Mr Dinnio as President of the Native Land Board, the Native Minister says Mr Dinnio enters upon his duties with a fair and open mind, without any unconscious bias which sometimes arose from long familiarity with native land transactions and a close contact with the several interests involved on one side or the other. The Premier states that the chief qualifications required arc a knowledge of law, integrity and honesty, and these qualities, he says, are possessed bv Mr Dinnie.
